Boy Scouts of America
The Boy Scouts of America, Mid-America Council serves 33,701 youth in 58 countries in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. The council, supported by 9,585 volunteers, is headquartered in Omaha, with a satellite service center in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Boy Scouts of America, Mid-America Council strives to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and help prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetime achieving their full potential. They have a strong tradition as one of the Nation’s premier Scout Councils.
They teach the Boy Scouts confidence, respect, trust, and mental strength and a deep understanding of what they can do for others while exploring the excitement and adventure of the world around them. They reinforce traditional family values through the delivery of scouting programs that foster creativity, promote family unity, inspire and motivate the Scouts to develop the skills they need to become productive citizens.
