Mental Health Association of Nebraska
Mental Health Association of Nebraska (MHA-NE) is a statewide, non-profit organization with chapters located throughout the state. A part of the organization’s mission statement is: “Dedicated to ensuring that public health policy is just, fair and promotes equality and opportunity.”
MHA-NE advocates for people with mental illness to help them achieve freedoms others take for granted. This includes freedom to work, live, enjoy relationships, what services they may use and how they may want to contribute to their community.
The association brings together the mentally ill, along with their friends and family, advocates, concerned citizens and mental health professionals. Check them out at www.mha-ne.org.
